Specify screen resolution settings for full-screen mode
-
In Microsoft Virtual PC, on the Virtual PC
menu, click Preferences.
-
Click Full Screen Mode.
-
Under Full Screen Mode Preferences, do one of the following:
-
To make the screen resolution for the virtual machine
the same as Mac OS X, and to have the virtual machine
window fill the screen, click Adjust PC to match Mac.
-
To make the screen resolution for Mac OS X the same
as the virtual machine, click Adjust Mac to match PC.
Because you have changed the screen resolution for Mac OS X,
the icons on the Macintosh desktop might change positions
when you quit Virtual PC.
-
To keep the screen resolution settings for the virtual
machine and Mac OS X independent of one another, click
Don't adjust.
If you select this option and the screen resolution
for your virtual machine is higher than that for
Mac OS X, the virtual machine window will display
scrollbars that provide access to the entire screen.
-
Click Done.
Notes
-
If there is a black border around your monitor screen, the screen is not
sized properly. To solve this, click a different screen resolution option.
-
If you are running Windows on your virtual machine, you can also
adjust the screen resolution from within the Windows operating system.
Try different resolutions until you find the one that works for your
monitor. To change the screen resolution in Windows, click Start,
click Control Panel, click Display, and then click the
Settings tab. For more information, see Windows Help.
