Allocate memory for a virtual machine

In Virtual PC, do one of the following:

Click PC Memory.

Under PC Memory Settings, drag the slider to set the amount
of RAM or VRAM.
- Do one of the following:

If your virtual machine is not running, click OK.
When your virtual machine starts, the new setting will be in effect.

If your virtual machine is running, click Restart.
You must restart the virtual machine for the changes to take effect.
Notes

The RAM setting corresponds to the amount of RAM installed on the virtual
machine and does not correspond directly to the amount of RAM used by the
Virtual PC application.

The VRAM setting determines the maximum screen resolution the virtual
machine can support. Higher VRAM settings may impact the performance of
the virtual machine and should be used only when necessary to achieve
maximum resolutions in full-screen mode.
